Angela Gabrielle Fabunan is a writer from the Philippines. She has authored the poetry collection Young Enough to Play (University of the Philippines Press, 2022), the poetry chapbook The Sea That Beckoned (Platypus Press, 2019); and a book of essays, Migratory Notes (Vibal Publishing, 2025). She holds a master's degree in creative writing from the University of the Philippines; and a BA in English and American Literature from Bowdoin College. Her poetry experiments within traditional lyric forms as a way to explore the breakages of language; while her research resides at the intersections of women’s writing, lyric experimentation, and confessional poetics. Her poetry has been recognized by the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature in 2016, for which she served as a judge in 2025. She has worked with the Association of Writers & Writing Programs as a poetry mentor, as well as the poetry magazine Palette Poetry as a regular guest editor. Her poems have appeared in or is forthcoming from Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Lunch Ticket, Salt Hill Journal, New Asian Writing, and Atlanta Review, among others. At present she teaches creative writing and literature at the Department of English and Literature at Silliman University.
